Emtek Bronze Round Knob Rustic Modern Privacy Door Knob Set with Concealed Screws

The Bronze Round Knob set uses traditional American latches with trim handcrafted from authentic materials. A knob operates the latch from both the interior and the exterior. With the privacy function, the door is locked from the interior via a push pin on the rosette. An emergency release is located on the exterior. Privacy knobs are typically used for interior locking doors, such as on bathrooms or bedrooms. Uncompromisingly rugged and beautifully crafted, these locks and latches are suitable for the very finest homes. The CF Mechanism provides concealed screws on both sides of the door, featuring a clean look on both the interior and exterior.

Like all of Emtek’s Rustic Modern Collection, the Round Knob is cast from molten bronze one piece at a time into authentic rustic designs. The Round Knob’s patina finishes are achieved using the traditional techniques of bronze sculptors. With pitted surfaces and hand-finished patinas, these uniquely American designs resonate a calm strength. The Round Knob’s handles are supported by springs mounted behind the rosettes and sideplates, which return the handles back to the rest position, preventing sag. The latches are heavy-duty die cast construction, with strong internal springs, solid brass nose bolts, and sintered metal cams. A plastic bushing located in the joint between the handle and the rosette ensures a friction-free wear surface, preventing metal from bearing on metal and providing smooth, long-lasting operation. Handles are positively connected to rosettes with a permanent clip. Each has a set screw which eliminates “handle wobble” when tightened. Emtek’s threaded tubes are machined brass to ensure good threads and prevent corrosion.
