5″ Type B Gas Vent Adjustable Flashing for Flat to 5/12 Pitch Roof from the OV Collection
Flashings are used to seal the opening where the chimney penetrates the roof and to divert rain and snow down from the roof and away from the chimney system. It is important to choose flashing that matches the pitch of your roof. This flashing works for 0/12 to 5/12 pitch and is installed either parallel or perpendicular to the roof ridge. Note: To determine your roof pitch, measure the number of inches from the end of a level 12” ruler down to the roof. This is the rise for 12 inches of run. For example, a rise of 5 inches is a 5/12 pitch.
The OV series offers oval gas vent pipe and fittings and can be used for Type B, Type B 2×4, Type BW and Type B 2×6 depending on the pipe size. It features a snap together die formed ends, and is UL 441 listed. Note: Special factory supplied parts are required to use 4″ OV as Type BW vent.
