This corridor keyed lever is locked and unlocked by a key from the exterior. When locked by a key, outside lever can only be unlocked by a key. The inside lever has push-button locking. Turning the lever or closing door releases the button – inside is always unlocked and free for immediate egress.
Vandlgard™ is designed to disengage the outside spindle from the latch when in the locked position. The locked outside lever freely rotates up and down while remaining securely locked. The free-wheeling lever eliminates the ability to exert excessive force or to stand on the lever, preventing damage to internal lock components.
ND-Series locks are for commercial, institutional and industrial use, such as schools, hospitals and factories, where a long life of dependable operation must be combined with a high degree of resistance to physical abuse.
