For more than 50 years, the Symmons Temptrol Pressure-Balancing Tub and Shower Valve has been the safe and reliable choice for pressure-balanced tub and shower valves.The legendary Temptrol pressure-balancing, anti-scald mixing valve is the heart of every Symmons tub and shower system. Each valve is constructed of solid brass, bronze, and stainless steel, and features an adjustable piston that instantly and continually balances the hot and cold water pressure as demand fluctuates in the plumbing system. An adjustable stop screw limits the maximum hot water temperature.The Temptrol features a one-piece cast brass body that is designed to accommodate back-to-back and thin-wall installations. Each valve is shipped with ½-inch NPT threaded and direct sweat connection inlets/outlets for easy installation, and factory-installed options are available for CPVC, PEX, and ProPress® connections.All Symmons valves are backed with a lifetime limited warranty for consumers and a ten-year warranty for commercial use
