Each valve is constructed of solid brass, bronze, and stainless steel, and features an adjustable piston that instantly and continually balances the hot and cold water pressure as demand fluctuates in the plumbing system. An adjustable stop screw limits the maximum hot water temperature.The Temptrol features a one-piece cast brass body that is designed to accommodate back-to-back and thin-wall installations. Each valve is shipped with ½-inch NPT threaded and direct sweat connection inlets/outlets for easy installation, and factory-installed options are available for CPVC, PEX, and ProPress® connections.This valve features the VersaFlex™ Integral Diverter, which diverts water flow to a variety of outlets without the need for a separate diverter valve.All Symmons valves are backed with a lifetime limited warranty for consumers and a ten-year warranty for commercial use
