The interconnected mechanism is panic proof and allows the deadbolt to be unlocked by turning the handle from the inside. The device’s deadbolt latch and plain latch operate in sync with each other, allowing both to be retracted by turning the interior lever alone. For models with a deadbolt and keyed handle, only one key is necessary to unlock both cylinders simultaneously. This provides a convenient single key entrance and panic free exit solution.
